RECCO Technology

RECCO is a rescue technology used by organized rescue teams as an additional tool to more quickly locate people buried by an avalanche or lost in the outdoors. The system is based on a harmonic radar system and composed by a detector and a passive reflector integrated into outdoor clothing and gears.

Unlike transceivers, Recco reflectors require no batteries and are always active, making them a reliable backup in avalanche emergencies. Many ski resorts and rescue teams worldwide use Recco detectors to improve search and rescue efficiency.
